Jules Duterte was born in Tarpon Springs, FL but grew up in Greenville, SC.
Dancers Corner in Greenville is where her dance journey began, at the age of 5.
She has trained in Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballet.
At 11 years old, she started competing and has since attended competitions such as: DanceMakers Inc., Fusion, Encore, Applause Talent, KAR, Groove, and Intrigue.
Jules moved to Charleston, SC in 2016 and began dancing at Dance Lab. She was on their competitive crew and was an assistant there.
She has had the opportunity to learn from Whittney Niemi, Carrie Crawford, Seth Zibalese, and Jenny Broe and brings that wealth of knowledge with her every time she enters the UDP studio.
After graduating from high school in May of 2020 she moved to Beaufort, SC to pursue a history degree on the pre-law track at USCB.
She has been named on the President’s list with a 3.9 GPA and plans on going to law school after undergraduate school.
Outside of dance and school, Jules enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing guitar, going to the beach, working out, and watching movies.
You can almost always run into her smiling face at our studio though, as assistant teacher, substitute teacher, and front desk assistant.
Jules is a powerhouse addition to our team and we are excited to unite a part of her dance journey with ours.
